Something of a Holy Grails for trombone players. A concerto for Tommy Dorsey composed at Leopold Stokowski's request. After the first performance (1945) the scores and the orchestral parts disappeared and it took almost 60 years before the piece was performed again in its original form. A lush and velvety concerto with influences from jazz and the golden age ofr Broadway.
