Musica Dolce moves effortlessly between the intricate contrapuntal writing of Byrd and Scheidt, the graceful lyricism of Boismortier, and the more exploratory language of composers such as Peter Lyne, Moses Pergament, and Hindemith. Throughout, the ensemble’s transparent sound and finely balanced phrasing illuminate both the intimacy and vitality of the repertoire.
