After an acclaimed album of the composer’s complete violin concertos in 2019 (★★★★★ “Delight in this masterful collection of Bach concertos” – The Times / “Impeccably recorded by Faust” – Classic FM), Isabelle Faust and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin continue their Bach recording adventure with the iconic Brandenburg Concertos. Here they are joined by leading French violist Antoine Tamestit. This recording also marks a welcome return to the Brandenburgs for the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and the Berlin musicians have achieved a sovereign mastery of these works ever since a memorable first recording in the late 1990s. Around this release Isabelle Faust embarks on a major tour of Japan and Antonie Tamestit will be the London Symphony Orchestra’s artist in residence, performing in the UK and across Europe.
