A musty song from the Swiss 'Liederbuch des Johannes Heer von Glarus' (1510). With the double meaning of the verb 'to thresh' (tröschen, dreschen), found in other German songs of the period, the seed is here dealt with in more than one way (cf. 'to have one's oats').
